How do I get started?

• You must first attend a free Homebuyer Education seminar.  You will receive a certificate upon completion of the class, valid for two years. 
• Contact a Commission-trained loan officer to see what you will qualify for. 
• Once you know how much you qualify for, it is time to look for a home.  Your lender and real estate professional will work with you to locate and finance a home of your own.

Do you qualify?

• If you've attended and obtained a certificate from a Commission-sponsored homebuyer education seminar within the last two years; and...

• If you are a first-time homebuyer, defined as someone who has not owned and occupied a primary residence at any time in the past 3 years

• If you meet the program income limits; and

• If you meet with a House Key trained loan officer and determine that you qualify for a mortgage loan according to FHA, VA, Rural Housing Services (RHS), or conventional loan standards. Conventional products include House Key Teacher, Fannie Mae's MyCommunityMortgage 30 year , HomeChoice, and Freddie Mac's Home Possible, then... you may qualify!

House Key Plus Bremerton is a second mortgage program with a 3.00% interest rate and a fifteen-year loan term for people buying in Bremerton City Limits.

HomeChoice is a second mortgage program for qualified borrowers who have a disability or a family member with a disability living with them.  Funds up to $15,000.  One-on-one counseling is required.

House Key Rural is a second mortgage program for qualified borrowers buying in a rural participating county of Washington.  Funds up to $10,000 or 6% of the purchase price, whichever is greater.

House Key Schools is a second mortgage program for teachers and employees of community or technical colleges and K-12 public or private schools.  Funds up to $10,000.

House Key Plus Seattle is a second mortgage program This program is for people living within the city limits of Seattle.

House Key Veterans is a second mortgage program for Veterans who have served our country.  Funds up to $10,000.
